About Newcastlecommunitynews	English (USA)
We aim to publish and freely distribute a community newspaper in the lower Hunter area, covering issues that aren’t currently covered in the local print media. The newspaper will be independent and will report on matters of interest that are paramount to the community in a balanced and informative way. Enough space will be given to stories to give readers a greater understanding of the issues; this will give the paper longevity, where it will be passed around and re-read. A positive image will be presented for public education, health, transport, and other essential and non-profit services provided in our community. The newspaper will promote our local arts and creative mediums, which explore new ways of interpreting, experiencing, improving and celebrating our city and region. The paper will engage with community groups, environment groups, and the broader community to provide content. A complementary daily news website with live feedback forums will be developed, with the community able to suggest news topics and submit articles.
